About Me
Hey! I'm James Park, the founder of NeonPulse.GG.
I was born and raised in Queens, New York, spent a chapter of my life on the West Coast, and eventually found my way back to the East Coast about ten years ago. I went to college in a small town in Indiana, and these days I work in the tech industry.
Like a lot of gamers, my love for gaming started early. I spent countless hours playing StarCraft and Brood War, along with some of the greatest SNES RPGs ever made—Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Final Fantasy III (yes, the SNES version!). I also held my own in Super Mario Kart and Street Fighter II, and still think the classics are hard to beat.
After taking a bit of a break from gaming, I got pulled back into the community a few years ago through work. My company's platform was used by Twitch to host online meetups for content creators, which gave me a front-row seat to an incredible community. Since then, I've been diving back into gaming, streaming culture, and live events.
Last year I attended GCX at Universal Orlando—thanks to one of my high school friends who helped organize the event—and made my first trip to TwitchCon San Diego. Meeting creators, developers, and fellow gamers from all over was an unforgettable experience and reminded me just how welcoming and passionate this community is.
That's a big part of why I started NeonPulse.GG: to share gaming news, discover great games, spotlight awesome creators, and connect with fellow gamers.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to game, chat, or hang out with some of you soon!
